ISLAMABAD: A team of Chinese investors has shown interest in financing the Jabba Dam. Planned to be constructed in the Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency, the dam would provide water supply to the local inhabitants as well as to Hayatabad and Regi Lalma townships in Peshawar.

An official said on Thursday that recently a Chinese delegation visited Fata Development Authority and got detailed briefing regarding construction of Jabba Dam. They were informed that the revenue benefit from water supply will be $635.79 million per yeark, besides fish farming, particularly of local favourites trout and mahasher, will generate around $29.73 million per year. The Chinese delegation showed interest to finance the construction of the Jabba Dam, the official said.
