PU vows to produce the best human resource
VC also calls on international community to stand by Rohingya Muslims

Punjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar has said the varsity would provide the best human resource to the country and would train its graduates to excel in their professions, as per modern demands of the market.
He was addressing a workshop on “Responsibilities of Focal Person” at Institute of Education & Research”. The workshop was organised by Career Counseling & Placement Centre (CCPC).

CCPC Director Dr Abdul Qayyum, IER Director Dr Rafaqat Ali Akbar, faculty members and focal persons of various departments were present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr Zafar said PU students were full of talent and the university would provide them with excellent training opportunities. He said the administration was promoting positive activities on campus and would provide all resources in this regard.
Meanwhile, Dr Zafar called on the international community and Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) to help Rohingiyan Muslims who were being massacred in Myanmar.
PU terminates 37 contract faculty members
Addressing the participants, he said Pakistan expressed solidarity with Rohingiyan Muslims and PU always stood against such atrocities. He said that international community must take serious note of human rights violations and provide relief to Rohingiyan Muslims. He said that Myanmar government had usurped the basic rights of Rohingiyan Muslims and all humanity must express solidarity with them.
