PPP, MQM agree to take action against extortionists, target killers

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have agreed to take indiscriminate action above all political affiliations against extortionists and target killers.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the PPP-MQM peace committee at the Chief Minister's House in Karachi.
Provincial ministers including Agha Siraj Durrani, Mir Nadir Magsi, Raza Haroon and Dr Sagheer Ahmed attended the session.
On the other hand, the PPP-MQM Core Committee meeting discussed the issue of target killings and extortion and the security situation of Karachi.
The MQM delegation expressed concern over the killing of its workers and presented a list of the victims.
