Davis Verdict: Judge’s brother transferred
Police inspector Muhammad Ojia who gave the verdict on Davis case has been transferred from Sialkot to Gujranwala.
SIALKOT:
Police inspector Muhammad Iqbal Ojia, brother of Judge Yousaf Ojia who gave the verdict on the CIA Agent Raymond Davis double murder case, has been transferred from Sialkot to Gujranwala on orders of RPO Gujranwala, on the basis of security reasons and kinship with the senior Judge. Furthermore, the senior judge himself is being criticised from various ends. On an application lodged against his verdict, the MIT branch of the Lahore High Court has forwarded his case to Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry for hearing and further actions.
