A group of five inebriated men confronted him and asked him why he was speaking in English
A man was beaten allegedly by five men for speaking in English with his friend.
Varun Gulati, a resident of Noida, dropped his friend at a five star hotel in Lutyens’ Delhi early on Saturday, according to police. Three persons have been arrested in this regard.

The police said Gulati had arrived at the hotel in Connaught Palace to drop off his friend Aman in his friend Daksh’s car. As he walked back after seeing off his friend, a group of five inebriated men confronted him and asked him why he was speaking in English.
The two sides engaged in an argument, following which the group of men thrashed Gulati. The victim managed to note down the number of the vehicle as the assailants fled in a vehicle. Using the number, the police were able to arrest three of the accused. The hunt for others is underway, they added.
