Development: Roots introduces ACCA
Roots College announces ACCA programme at a seminar.
Students can now pursue their Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification at the Satellite Town campus of Roots College International.
A press release issued by the college announced the start of the programme at an orientation seminar at Pearl Continental Hotel. The seminar, which also introduced the BSc International Degree Programme, UK, was organised under the supervision of Walid Mushtaq, Executive Director Roots School System, and Humaira Hameed, A-Levels/BSc /ACCA International Programme Coordinator.
The basic purpose of the seminar was to create awareness among all the potential and higher education seekers about the numerous career opportunities that ACCA qualifications and BSc International Degree programme have in store for them at Roots. To make the seminar more interactive and informative, professionals from different walks of life were invited.
Over 290 people attended the seminar. The director presented his vision for the two programmes and put emphasis on education management at Roots that, according to him, caters to the needs and requirements of students individually and also encourages the students to choose career paths that will bring them prosperity and success in their future.
Noorul Ain Zafer from ACCA Pakistan briefed the participants about ACCA qualification, its requirements, aspects, modules and other details.
Izzat Jahan, another speaker, stressed the significance of ethics and integrity for an audit officer and told the students what they can expect from their future if they took up accountancy.
In the end, a question and answer session was organised, in which the audience actively participated.
