ISLAMABAD:
Inspector General of Police Islamabad Khalid Khattak issued directions on Monday to complete at earliest the pension documents of all police employees who are going to retire within the next 365 days.
The Islamabad police chief has taken the step to end the encumbrance policemen face in getting their pensions started after retirement. Out of seat and power, the retired personnel are at times left in lurch for months and even years, running from department to department to get their documents ready for retirement benefits.
He issued these directions in a meeting held to review the welfare steps being taken for employees of Islamabad police.
