Uber 'MINI' gives Islamabad and Pindi an affordable ride-hailing option

Uber now has an affordable option for its Islamabad customers with the launch of uberMINI.

The ride hailing service will deploy the ever-affordable Suzuki Mehrans extensively in its new mini fleet and by default will cost less than the uberGO rates.

For now, they have launched the service only for Islamabad and Rawalpindi customers but hope to expand beyond the twin cities.



The Base Fare for uberMINI is priced at Rs50, with a Per KM charge of Rs4 and a minimum rate of Rs75.

"uberMINIs will be your familiar Suzuki Mehrans that are going to be bringing you MINI prices," the ride-hailing giant said in a statement.

Previously in April, Uber slashed its prices in Lahore and Karachi by 20 per cent for its Go service to increase demand in the face of competition from Careem.

Uber which started its service in 2009, is now available in over 450+ cities in over 75 countries spanning six continents. The service made inroads in the Pakistani market back in 2015 and was an instant success in the country.
