Pakistan and Kazakhstan agreed on Saturday to execute joint projects in the fields of defence, energy and communication to expand bilateral cooperation.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev who arrived at the President’s residence for a one-on-one meeting.
The president was here to attend the first summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation on science and technology being hosted by the Kazakh government from September 10-11.
Historic day: Pakistan joins SCO at Astana summit
The president, accompanied by Ambassador of Pakistan in Kazakhstan Abdul Salik Khan, thanked the Kazakh government for its hospitality. He emphasised enhancing bilateral trade and relaxation of visa policy facilitate business representatives from both sides.
