Mayor wants work expedited on Khannapul, Sohan interchanges

Mayor and CDA Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz has directed the Engineering Wing to further expedite the pace of construction work on both the Khannapul and Sohan interchanges to complete them within the stipulated time.
Aziz had recently visited the under-construction Khanapul and Sohan Interchange – both of which are part of the Islamabad Expressway Signal Free Corridor - and reviewed their progress. The mayor inquired about changes in the proposed design of Khannapul Interchange and asked the concerned departments if adding two underpasses to the interchange would result in the smoother flow of traffic from service roads of the interchange.
He added that work on the installation of electric poles, landscaping work and other allied works on both the Khannapul and Sohan Interchange should be completed before their respective deadlines.
