28,000 candidates to appear today
BISE Lahore established special squads which had been tasked with monitoring the examination

As many as 28,000 candidates will appear in the matriculation supplementary examinations 2017 scheduled to start in Lahore on Thursday .
According to the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore, 28,000 candidates would take part in the supplementary exams, for which 56 examination centres had been set up. BISE Lahore Chairman Prof Chaudhry Muhammad Isamil, in a statement, said that for the supplementary examination 2017, transparency would be ensured and all necessary arrangement had been made. He added that BISE Lahore had established special squads which had been tasked with monitoring the examination. For the 56 examination centres, invigilators had already been assigned their duties, he added.
3,000 private students suffer after exam postponed without prior notice
The exams will begin today and the first examinations are for Education and Quran in the morning. In the evening session, the examination of History of Pakistan, Islamic, Muslim History and Diet and Nutrition will be held.
