Sughran Bibi, 32, and her husband Abdul Ghafoor, both from Jangi village near Chowk Sarwar Shaheed in Muzaffargarh district, welcomed five new children to their growing brood of three sons and two daughters.
Woman gives birth to quadruplets
Medical Superintendent DHQ Hospital Mehr Muhammad Iqbal said the mother and her newborns were shifted to the Children Complex in Multan where they will be put in incubators because the births were premature.
Speaking to the media, Sughran Bibi said she was not at all prepared for how 'full on' the experience would be. She had several fears in her mind as the births were after 30/31 weeks of pregnancy.
“I literally felt like my body was shutting down,” she told journalists. “I'm struggling to eat and have to force feed myself. This leaves me with reflux for hours,” she complained.
According to Dr Sana, her gynecologist, the mother is finding it more difficult with each passing day. “She says it is getting harder to push through the pain and every part of her body aches. Her sleep is also very uncomfortable.”

The doctor added that Sughran belonged to a poor family and was unable to meet her protein or food requirements.
The mother, meanwhile, talked about dealing with pain, nausea, changes to her body and going to the bathroom eight or ten times a night. Sughran Bibi added she already has four children. “It's hard to accept that life will change forever and my small family will become huge; all in one hit.”
Dr Sana said all the children were normal and expected to survive as well lead a healthy after their time in the incubators.
