Festive buying: Eid shopping reaches climax in Peshawar
Boutiques and arcades at CT Tower, Shafi Markets, Qassia Khwani Bazaar and Arbab Road were bustling with activity

The shopping activities Thursday reached to its climax in Khyber-Pakthunkhwa and Fata where people have flocked markets and boutiques to select best gifts for dear ones to celebrate Eidul Azha in most befitting manner.
After purchasing sacrificial animals for Eidul Azha, the people were heading to different markets and arcades to purchase shoes, readymade garments, sweets and others goods for themselves and family members to look different on Eid.
In Peshawar, Eid shopping activities have reached peak as men, women, boys and girls were busy buying readymade dresses, cosmetics, artificial jewellery and sweets and nimco for the special day.
Boutiques and arcades at CT Tower, Shafi Markets, Qassia Khwani Bazaar and Arbab Road were bustling with activity.
"I am buying readymade shalwar kameez for Eidul Azha and will use it for winter season too," said Zeeshan Khan, a student of Peshawar University while busy in shopping in Deans Trade Centre. "The readymade suit will save me at least Rs1,000 as stitching charges," he remarked.
Readymade shalwar kameez available for Rs2,500 was selling for Rs3,400. Moreover, stiching charges roo have gone up to Rs800 to Rs1,000.
