Rs1.33b allocated for development schemes in Sargodha

The development schemes include construction of roads and other infrastructure in the city

The Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) on Thursday allocated Rs1.33 billion for the construction of roads and buildings in the division during a meeting.

This was revealed in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Nadeem Mehboob. The meeting was informed that Rs198.2 million would be spent on three building schemes and Rs933 million has been allocated for the construction of roads.

The meeting was attended by deputy commissioners of the division and officials of departments concerned. The meeting was told that Rs55 million would be spent for the construction of Tehsil Complex Kot Momin, Rs86.7 million for infrastructure development of Public Facilitation Centre while Rs56.5 million for the construction of a hall and B.Com block of Government Commerce College Bhakkar.


The roads will be constructed, including Mitha Tawana to Jabi with Rs77.2 million, a 14-kilometer road from Chashma Jhelum Canal to Anwar Chowk with Rs159.5 million, a 3-kilometre road from Eidgah Chowk to Shehbaz Khel Mianwali with Rs51.6 million, Talagang road to Jahaz Chowk with Rs99.7 million and Tibbi Mor to Chorwala 13-kilometre road with Rs175 million.

Centralised planning: CM okays setting up SDA

The meeting was informed that Rs86.2 million has been allocated for the construction of Qamar Mashani Nasriwala Bridge and RS 59.4 million to be spent on Shahani Adda to Inayat Abad Mor, district Bhakakr, and Rs 113.3 million will be spent on Gadola By-pass Tameen Road to Kotla Jam, Dera Ismail Khan while Rs 111.3 million will be spent on Chak 50TD to Chak 67.
