Karachi weather disturbs air traffic
One flight was cancelled and several faced up to lengthy delays

Thunderstorm and gusty winds in Karachi impacted flight schedules, resulting in cancellation and postponement of several flights to and from Jinnah International Airport on Wednesday.
“Due to unfavourable weather, Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight operations remained disturbed,” a PIA press statement said.
However, no flight was diverted and only one flight was cancelled, spokesperson Mashhood Tajwar said in the statement, conceding that several flights were delayed.
The cancelled flight was Karachi-Sukkur-Karachi.
Several flights faced delays of up to four hours including PK316 Karachi-Lahore, PK368 Karachi-Islamabad, PK350 Karachi-Peshawar, PK340 Karachi-Faisalabad, PK584 Karachi-DG Khan, PK503 Karachi-Gawadar, PK651 Lahore-Islamabad.
