Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, who was part of the five-member Supreme Court bench that  that disqualified Nawaz Sharif last month, suffered a heart attack on Tuesday, Express News reported.

The senior judge was admitted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology after he experienced chest pain.

The doctors there have confirmed that Justice Khosa indeed suffered a heart attack and he will undergo angioplasty.

They added that two valves of the judge’s heart were blocked, causing the heart attack.

Judge who ousted Sharif praises govt for implementing SC verdict

The doctors will try to open the clogged arteries using angioplasty and then decide whether the judge needs to undergo a surgery or not.

Justice Khosa was part of the bench that declared in the April 20 verdict that Nawaz Sharif was not honest with the nation and the court.

Likewise, his “Godfather” remarks during the proceedings of the case are still quoted in the media.

The judge observed that the prime minister had deliberately suppressed relevant facts or he had conveniently allowed himself to go along with a false story advanced by his children.

“Apart from that the alternate story about ‘purchase’ of the relevant properties in London propounded by him, which runs completely contrary to the story about acquisition of the said properties on the basis of a settlement of the business in Qatar, had not been substantiated by respondent No 1 (PM) through any tangible material,” he further observed.

The judge wondered that how a PM’s son (Hussain Nawaz), who is settled in Saudi Arabia, with two wives and about half a dozen children, had been sending gifts of millions of rupees in cash to his father on a regular basis, and that too to a father who “is quite rich and very famous”.

We, the supporters of PML(N) also pray for Justice Khosa’s speedy recovery. SC did a great favour when it did not disqualify Mian Sahib on the grounds of some real crime and also kept PML(N) government intact. This has given us a genuine chance to win next election. Thank You and get well soon.Recommend
