Model hospitals will be set up in each tribal agency as part of the development of the health sector in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).
This was stated by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Eng. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra in a meeting with private partners at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad on Monday.

He stated that effective measures are underway for the development of the health sector.
Possibilities of joint venture projects, in collaboration with private entities in the health and education sectors, were discussed in the meeting.
Jhagra said that they were trying to encourage public-private partnerships with the aim of offering better health care services and educational facilities to the people.
In fact, he added, developing healthcare and educational facilities to the desired standards in the tribal areas were the topmost priority of the government.
At the same time, he said, they were doing their best to ensure a result-oriented role of the public sector in Fata.
In private hands, a public hospital triumphs
The governor directed the concerned authorities of Fata Secretariat to extend their fullest cooperation to making useful joint ventures between public and private sectors for quality healthcare and educational facilities in Fata.
Meanwhile, the representatives of various organisations told the governor about their functional capacity and capabilities for becoming partners of the public sector.
