It had earlier been suspended by a larger bench of the LHC which was hearing contempt of court proceedings against him. The PBC issued the decision in which a three-member committee, led by Advocate Syed Farhad Ali Shah, restored the licence. Farhad Shah claimed the PBC had the authority to restore the licence.
Lawyers riot after LHC orders arrest of Multan bar chief
It is pertinent to mention that on July 24, LHCBA Multan President Sher Zaman Qureshi, Syed Qaiser Abbas Kazmi and other lawyers had vandalised and ransacked the court of Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan in Multan. After the unpleasant incident, the chief justice withdrew judges from the Multan Bench of the LHC while exercising his constitutional powers in this regard.
