Woman jumps from hospital roof

LAHORE:

A 25-year-old woman suffered severe injuries after jumping from the fourth floor of the outpatient department (OPD) of the Lahore General Hospital, police said, adding that her condition was stable.

The police said Ayesha, a resident of Abbottabad, had been admitted to the Medical Unit-II of the hospital and was undergoing treatment at the time of the incident. Preliminary inquiries suggested that she had mental health issues.

The police said her brother had gone to fetch food when.she went to the rooftop and jumped. The police said the investigations were under way, while hospital authorities were also conducting their own inquiry.
