KUJ organises family festival
Representatives from various political organisations also visit festival
KARACHI:
The Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) organised on Sunday a fun gala and family festival for its members and their families at the KMC Sports Complex.
The festival started at 10:00am and members and their families participated at large. KUJ made arrangements for entertainment of its members and their families. The participants enjoyed all day. The festival entailed free-of-chrage food stalls, medical facilities, a music show and other entertainment facilities.
The KUJ members were being received by the executive body members of KUJ throughout the day.
Fabbitt to host biggest Eid Festival in Lahore
A sports competition and swings were also arranged for the children of the members. The families availed the facility of a free medical camp and got themselves examined.
The winners of the sports competition were given prizes at the end of day.
Face painting stalls were also set up for children where the children got various designs painted on their faces. Henna [mehndi] stall was also set up for the women.
Representatives from various political organisations, including Muttahida Qaumi Movement - Pakistan Chairperson Afaq Ahmed and Younis Barai, a senior member of Jamat-e-Islami also visited the festival.
On the occassion, Ahmed congratulated KUJ President Hasan Abbas and the governing body for organising a successful event. He
"This family event organised by KUJ is a memorable event. Such festivals serve as occasions of entertainment for the public," Ahmed said.
