Youngster allegedly gunned down at wedding

ISLAMABAD:
A youngster was killed at a wedding ceremony near Burma Town allegedly during celebratory gunfire by guests attending the ceremony, police said on Saturday.

Khanna police said that 22-year-old Razaullah was fatally wounded when he was struck by a bullet fired from a 30-bore pistol.

Though the suspects claimed that Razaullah was struck by a bullet fired while celebrating the wedding, the victim’s relatives told the police that the youngster had allegedly been shot on purpose.

“They lodged a complaint stating that the victim had gone to attend the wedding ceremony of his friend in Pindorian but there a scuffle broke out over some issue and he was shot,” a police officer told The Express Tribune.

The victim hailed from Swabi in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Police, meanwhile, have registered a murder case against the groom and his brother but have yet to arrest any of them.
