Police helpline in Karachi to get 100 mobile vans

IG directs DIG administration to provide all necessary equipment on a priority basis to Madadgar 15

KARACHI:
In a bid to improve performance and help the citizens, police authorities have decided to provide 100 police mobile vans to the police helpline, Madadgar 15.

This was announced on Saturday by Sindh IG Allah Dino Khawaja during a visit to the new building of the helpline established at the premises of the Airport police station. The IG also discussed the ongoing developments and infrastructure for the helpline.

The zonal DIGs, DIG administration and information technology director also attended the meeting.

Khawaja directed the DIG administration to provide all necessary equipment, including computers and infrastructure, on a priority basis to Madadgar 15.


"100 new specialised police vans will be provided to Madadgar 15 soon," he announced, adding that the vans will only be in use by Madadgar 15 to take timely action on citizens' complaints.

He said that the names of the zone, district and the police station will also be mentioned on each police mobile van.

IG Sindh inaugurates 9110 helpline centre    

"A special Android device will be attached with van which will be interlinked with the Madadgar 15 centre," Khawaja explained.

"The Android device will help police personnel to timely reach the spot concerned to help the citizens."

The IG also asked the concerned authorities to provide two heavy generators to the Madadgar 15 centre to avoid any inconvenience.
