Sports Quota: GCU pledges to admit petitioner

LHC disposed off a petition from a young man seeking admission to Government College University.

LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Wednesday disposed of a petition from a young man seeking admission to Government College University after the varsity pledged include him in the next session.

Petitioner Muhammad Saib Ashraf, a footballer who has represented Pakistan at youth level, submitted that he was one of 10 candidates selected by the university for admission on a sports basis, but he had been dropped from the final list.


On Wednesday, GCU counsel Ali Masood submitted that the university had mistakenly dropped him from the list and would admit him in the next session to the general science or arts group.
