Pakistan was the worst-affected South-Asian country with more than 1, 100 deaths due to terrorism, according to a new report over-viewing global terrorism.
The Study of Terrorism And Responses to Terrorism by University of Maryland found "terrorist violence" in the country "declined sharply between 2014 and 2016" but last year was "considerably more deadly" with increasing number of education institutions being targeted.

According to the report, more than 13, 400 terrorist attacks took place around the globe, killing more than 34, 000.
