Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa: Land allocated for Marble City
K-P government has allocated 125 acres of land in Risalpur for establishing a Marble City.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has allocated 125 acres of land in Risalpur for establishing a Marble City, while another 50 acres will be acquired for setting up a marble zone in Chitral.
Chairing a briefing on marble and granite sectors, K-P Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said that the vast resources of marble and granite were vital to the economic stability of the province.
The government was giving priority to mining and development of these resources on scientific lines and was taking practical steps in that regard, he added.
The meeting was told that an estimated four billion tons of marble and granite reserves were present in Chitral, Swat, Buner, Mardan, Nowshera, Dir, Kohistan and Mansehra districts.
Ongoing projects for extraction and processing of marble also were reviewed and recommendations were approved.
