Lahore Electric Supply Company installed a 40MVA transformer at Township Grid Station to improve power supply to its consumers.
A Lahore Electric Supply Company spokesperson said on Monday that installation of new 40MVA power transformer would resolve the overloading and low voltage issues in areas of Bagrian, Madina Road, Pak Military Accounts Colony, UMP and Muhammad Ali Chowk etc.

He added that now all the four transformers installed at Township Grid Station had a capacity of 40MVA each. He said that on the directives of Lahore Electric Supply Company chief executive officer, the power supply system in all regions of the company was being improved.
He maintained the company had not only constructed new grid stations but also upgraded the existing ones by installing new enhanced capacity power transformers during the last three months. He said these measures would help remove system impediments.
