14 suspects held, drugs recovered

Police recovered drugs, liquor, stolen cell phones, illegal weapons from them

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 14 suspects and recovered drugs, liquor, stolen cell phones and illegal weapons from them, a police spokesman said.

According to details, SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani directed all police officials of the city to ensure high vigilance against those involved in drug pushing and anti-social activities.

Eight outlaws held in various parts of capital

Following his directions, all police stations expedited efforts and SI Anees Akber from Secretariat police station arrested accused Shahid and recovered 10 litre of homebrewed wine from him. ASI Fawad Khalid from Aabpara police station arrested accused Fida and recovered stolen mobile phone from him.

Seaparately, ASI Irfan Ullah from Anti-Car Lifting Cell recovered a vehicle with fake registration from Kashif Ali Raza. Sub-Inspector Ghulam Muhammad Shah from Khanna police station arrested accused Munir and recovered 155 grammes of hashish from him.
