A total of 253,692 candidates took part in the annual examination for grade 9, out of which a total of 137,530 were declared successful in the examination.
In the science group, a total of 170,265 candidates appeared in the examination out of which, a total of 102,249 passed the examination with 60.05% being successful in the 9th exam. Out of these, 95,253 were boys with 50,130 candidates passing the exam bringing the success rate of boys to 52.63%. Similarly, 75,010 girls appeared in the exam and 52,119 passed the annual exam scoring a total of 69.48% success rate.
In the humanities group, a total of 83,427 candidates appeared for the exam, while a total of 35,281 were declared successful by the BISE Lahore with a total of 42.29% success rate. A total of 35,446 boys appeared in the annual exam. Out of these, 9,380 passed the exam with a success rate of 26.46%. Around 47,981 female candidates appeared in the exam with 25,901 successfully passing the exam with a percentage of 53.98%.
Overall, a total of 130,699 male candidates appeared in the 9th annual examination, with 59,510 candidates passing the exam bringing the success rate to 45.53%. Among girls, 122,993 candidates appeared in the exam, while 78,020 candidates were declared successful by the BISE Lahore with a pass percentage of 63.43%.
BISE SARGODHA
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sargodha on Saturday announced the results of 9th class examinations, 2017. According to BISE sources, the results were announced at a ceremony held at Board's building, where Commissioner Nadeem Mehboob was the chief guest.
A total of 93,576 candidates appeared in the examinations, out of which 52,325 succeeded, and success ratio remained 55.92%.

BISE MULTAN
Multan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Saturday also announced results of the 9the class examinations. According to a notification, a total of 114,675 candidates appeared in the exams and out of which 67,004 were declared successful. The pass percentage was computed as 58.42%.
Among total appeared students, 97,568 belonged to science group while 17,107 in arts group. In science group, the pass percentage remained 59.86% and the pass percentage in arts group was computed as 50.67%.
