Prabhas is being paid more than triple of what Shraddha Kapoor is for 'Saaho'
You won't believe how much her male counterpart is getting paid!
Shraddha Kapoor finally gave the nod to director Sujeeth’s Saaho, after negotiating her price for weeks, which also co-stars Baahubali star Prabhas and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
However, seems like the starlet didn't get a good deal after all! Rumour has it that the Ok Jaanu star signed the movie, settling for a fee of INR90 million!
But according to Pinkvilla, that’s still INR210 million less than what Prabhas is getting. The actor is said to be getting paid a whopping INR30o million.
Never knew if people said anything bad about my performances: ShraddhaKapoor
A source reveals, “It’s a big budget action extravanganza costing INR1.5 billion. Originally, Shraddha wanted INR120 million. Her reasoning was that as the film is being shot in three languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telugu – simultaneously, the shooting would be more taxing for her and she wouldn’t be able to shoot for other films then. She charges INR40 million (approximately) per film for her Hindi flicks so she wanted the same per Tamil and Telugu film. After negotiating and bargaining for weeks as the producers were keen to cast her opposite Prabhas and she suits the role, their final offer was INR90 million."
The source went on to add, "The deal got finalised last week. But the fact remains that Prabhas will take the INR300 million as remuneration - which is more than triple of what Shraddha is getting! Saaho will be shot in Mumbai, Abu Dhabi and Romania and every character in the film has many shades but Prabhas himself will be featured in a never-seen-before avatar and will be seen doing lots of modern-day action and will be undergoing training. His role is completely different from the one he had in Baahubali and post that he’s also raised his market price from INR250 million to INR300 million and he's very deserving.”
I wanted to venture into new kind of films: Shraddha Kapoor on 'Haseena'
The producers wanted to cast a Bollywood actress to add a pan-India appeal and now with Shraddha Kapoor on board, everything seems to be smooth sailing with Prabhas having got his co-star.
Anushka Shetty and Disha Patani were also in contention as the leading ladies. Saaho has already gone on the floors and is expected to release next year. Prabhas and Shraddha will start shooting from end August.
