Three women of a family found dead near Rawat

Police said the bodies appear to be five days old; motive behind murders is not yet known

Three women of a family were found dead in an empty house in a village near Rawat on Wednesday, police said.

Rawat SP told reporters that based on information provided by locals, a heavy contingent of police headed by Saddar Circle SP Iftikharul Haq raided a house in Jhabat area and found the bodies of the women who had been dead for at least five days.

The Rawat SP further said that police cordoned off the area and shifted the bodies to District Headquarters Hospital for an autopsy.

Two empty bottles of liquor were found from the roof, while the police has launched an investigation to find the killers and the motive behind the triple murder.

The SP added that one of the women was identified as Munira while the names of other two were not known so far.

“The other two are Munira’s daughter and granddaughter,” he said.

Meanwhile, another body was found from a house in Dhoke Khabba. According to initial information, the deceased was living along in the rented house.

Police moved the body to Benazir Bhutto Hospital for autopsy and launched an investigation.
