Is Daniel Craig really planning to return as James Bond?
Craig made the revelation during an appearance on the US TV programme 'The Late Show'
James Bond actor Daniel Craig had previously denied reports that he has agreed to play 007 in the next parts of the big screen franchise. After the creators announced that the next James Bond movie is due to hit the screens in 2019, the 49-year-old star expressed that he would love to continue his 11 years as the impeccable spy but is in the process of making 'personal decisions.'
"I would hate to burst the bubble here, but no decision has been made at the moment. There's a lot of noise out there and nothing official has been confirmed,” Craig told US radio station Magic.
"I'm not holding out for money or doing anything like that, personal decisions just have to be made at the moment. I know they are desperate to get going and I would, in theory, love to do it but there is no decision just yet," he stated.
Craig made the revelation during an appearance on the US TV programme The Late Show on Tuesday. When asked by host Stephen Colbert whether he would return as James Bond, Craig responded "yes" to which the audience cheered.
Craig has appeared four times as the suave special agent in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.
Eon Productions declared on its website that the 25th Bond movie would be released in US cinemas on November 8, 2019, with a traditional early release in the UK and the rest of the world.
