Tank operation: Security forces recover kidnapped BGP employees

Abductees were in a good condition and nobody was injured during the operation

LAKKI MARWAT: Security forces in the FR region of Tank on Tuesday recovered four BGP employees who were kidnapped while they were travelling to the company’s field.

According to the police, the abductees were in a good condition and nobody was injured during the operation. They added that they were later flown to Islamabad, as all of them hail from Punjab.

Local authorities said the recovered men included the supervisor of the field and three supporting staff of the company. They added that they were rescued during an operation in the Sara Ghar area of Tank.

Meanwhile, a local security source, who spoke to The Express Tribune on the condition of anonymity, claimed that no military operation took place for their recovery, adding that they were brought back through negotiations with a local militant group.
