Kashmiris celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day with zeal
Major flag hoisting state-ceremony was held on the lawn of Mirpur Municipal Corporation
MIRPUR:
Like other parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the 70th Independence Day of Pakistan was also celebrated on Monday with national zeal and fervour with a renewal of the pledge by Kashmiris to continue the ongoing struggle to make entire state an invincible part of Pakistan. Major flag hoisting state-ceremony was held on the lawn of Mirpur Municipal Corporation where AJK Minister for Sports, Culture and Youth Ch. Muhammad Saeed and Commissioner Mirpur division Zaffar Mahmud unfurled the national flags of Pakistan and AJK. A well uniformed contingent of AJK Police presented guard of honor besidesasaluting the national flag during the flag hoisting ceremony. Besides participants of the ceremony the school children sang the national anthem to express their fullest love and solidarity with the country from the core of their heart. Sweetmeat were also distributed. The national flag was also hoisted on all private and public buildings.
