To ban or not to ban (V)
KARACHI:
Is banning Facebook a realistic approach? Surely in today’s world it is not going to work because we are simply excluding ourselves from the whole issue.
We should see this ban in a larger social context. The average Pakistan is hungry and has a tough time making ends meet and feeding his or her family. Most do not use computers and even more do not have access to the internet or even know what it is. Why do we react to something that is in the extreme with our own extreme action? Why cannot we respond in a more balanced manner?
