At least three people, including a minor, were killed in different incidents in Lahore on Independence Day.
Minor remanded for killing younger sister in Lahore
In the first incident, two teenagers lost their lives while wheeling in Baghbanpura. The victims were identified as 16-year-old Yasin and Ehtesham, 13. Police said both victims were wheeling on GT Road when they lost control of the two-wheelers due to speeding.
As a result, they slipped and a truck coming from behind crushed them to death. Bodies of both victims were shifted to local hospital for legal formalities. In another incident, a minor boy died when a kite string slit his throat in Islampura.
Muslim teen assaulted, killed after leaving US mosque
Police said two-year-old Sufiyan was riding a motorcycle with his uncle and when they reached Saggian Bridge, a kite string slit his throat. Meanwhile, 10 people were injured due to fireworks near Azadi Chowk, Edhi official said. The victims were shifted to a Mayo Hospital for treatment.
