Your Stars Today

Aries | March 20 – April 18

Making time for those you care about is always tricky but especially so now. While existing obligations and sudden events can’t be ignored, many aren’t really as urgent as they seem. This is particularly important, because recently you’ve unwittingly neglected those who’re dear to your heart and, in the process, hurt their feelings.

Taurus | April 19 – May 19

Few things are more thrilling than the promise of certain cherished dreams becoming reality. Judging by the recent superb alliance between Venus and Neptune, the planet of vision, there’s bound to have been progress. Still, it’s a tricky week in a tricky period, which means things may not go as you hoped.

Gemini | May 20 – June 20

The first of August’s two eclipses has just taken place, and accented potential changes in your perspective. While you may already be aware of its influence on some situations, only gradually will you realise how you’re being forced to alter your focus on others. Still, ultimately, every change will benefit you.

Cancer | June 21 – July 21

It would be easy to mix up the influence of the retrograde Mercury with the rest of August’s dramatic planetary activity. This cycle, which occurs usually three times a year, involves errors or, as often, confusion. Whatever the case, the trick is to focus on what you can learn from those unexpected developments.

Leo | July 22 – August 21

Nobody enjoys a lively debate as much as you,  a fiery Leo. At the moment, however, if the topic is contentious, you’re urged to sidestep any but essential discussions. With so much in transition, whatever decisions you make would need to be changed, probably several times.

Virgo | August 22 – September 21

This promises to be an unruly week, and not just because your ruler Mercury is retrograde. While this influences others, too, because you make such an effort to organise things and keep them that way, you could blame yourself for the confusion triggered by any number of other factors.

Libra | September 22 – October 22

Although some become very concerned about problems when the communication planet, Mercury, is retrograde, as it now is, and will be until early September, most of the issues that arise are minor. Still, consider that when making decisions, and you’ll ensure plans are flexible enough to ride out any changes or unexpected developments.

Scorpio | October 23 – November 21

It would be no surprise if you’re still reeling from the difficulties, obstacles or straightforward confrontations triggered by early August’s clash between the usually jovial Jupiter and your ruler Pluto. Instead of brooding over these, discuss them frankly, ideally with those involved. It won’t be easy but it will be worth the effort.

Sagittarius | November 22 – December 20

Little is more annoying than getting caught up by details you either disregarded or, perhaps, hoped were unimportant, only to discover they were crucial. Since then, you’ve wrestled with these, especially because they involve either tiresome rules or tedious individuals. Tackle them head on. That alone will enable you to put them behind you.

Capricorn | December 21 – January 18

Prepare for decisions to be taken out of your hands. Acknowledge that this is inevitable, and instead of fighting, you’ll give in. This may be out of character. But you and the rest of the world are dealing with August’s two powerful eclipses and the chaos they’re triggering. Let go. It’s your only option.

Aquarius | January 19 – February 17

Tempting as it is to put off decisions about potential changes in elements of your work or lifestyle, these are inevitable. However, the more you explore, the more you’ll learn and, as a result, the more appealing they’ll become. For now, focus on that process of exploration. What you discover could win you over.

Pisces | February 18 – March 19

Don’t be surprised if, as others struggle with this period of frequent and often unsettling change, you sail serenely through. It’s not that you’re excused from those changes but, rather, that you’ll recognise what arises as timely and, therefore, will welcome them. As you should. They’re bringing thrilling benefits your way.
