KARACHI:
National Bank of Pakistan has taken away the ‘acting’ tag from Qamar Hussain’s designation, and appointed him as president of the largest bank asset-wise, according to a notice sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange.
Hussain was made the acting president after former president Syed Ali Raza was ordered to step down by the Supreme Court on January 14, 2010.
Qamar Hussain joined the bank in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer.
He has previously worked with the American Express Bank as Senior Director, Global Credit, New York and as Country Manager, Bangladesh.
