Famous stage actor Murtaza Hasan Mastana died on Monday after being hospitalised for over a week.
Mastana was suffering from hepatitis C for the past four years and his kidneys were failing.
He was being treated at the Bahwalpur DHQ hospital for over a year.
Mastana’s family said that he was not provided any financial assistance by the government or the artistic community during his long illness.
The actor will be buried on Monday night in the Nurshah Bukhari graveyard in his hometown of Bahawalpur.
Mastana performed in over 2,000 stage plays during his career.
