Maryam lashes out at Imran’s taunting tweet

The PTI chief had mocked the attendance at Nawaz’s rally

PTI chief Imran Khan had barely posted a tweet mocking the low attendance at deposed PM Nawaz Sharif’s rally that former first daughter Maryam Nawaz started typing in defence of her father.

It started when Khan tweeted, “Speaking from a bulletproof car doesn’t inspire confidence in already-dwindling crowds. If you fear death you shouldn’t undertake ‘peoples’ rallies.”

The protective daughter of the Khan’s arch-rival shot back by calling her father’s struggle “bigger than all of you stooges combined.”

She said Khan and other opposition members “have lost it completely. Your heartburn is understandable. You are irrelevant.”

She then fired another salvo at the former cricketer, expressing her “deep sympathies for a section of the media and the frustrated opposition who must now be thinking how to gloss over their premature predictions.”

Meanwhile, Khan continued to lash out at Sharif, referring to his rally as the ‘corruption bachao rally’, saying that Nawaz was spawned by a military dictator, and that “Patwaris and rent-a-crowd methods do not make one into a leader of the people.”

Stooping to such lows as calling political opponents ‘stooges’ is nothing new in Pakistani politics. Imran himself has previously alleged that his political opponents wet the bed on hearing his name and indulge in cross dressing.

Other politicians have used equally vile language.
