ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is yet to finalize the route for the Bhara Kahu by-pass road that it announced to build last year. Despite the announcement, construction work on the project could not resume owing to negligence on part of the civic body.
"We are completing necessary documentation to initiate work on the by-pass. This project will ease the traffic burden on the main Murree Road," said a senior CDA official.
People, especially those coming from Murree, face traffic snarls at Bhara Kahu, he said, adding that after the construction of the proposed by-pass, this issue would be resolved. The official said that the State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has also directed CDA officials to complete necessary documentation for the project.
