Identical petitions filed by major publishing houses in all three languages, were reheard.
KARACHI:
Three identical petitions filed by major publishing houses in all three languages, were reheard by Sindh High Court Chief Justice Mushir Alam in order to fill a legal requirement, on Monday.
The bench earlier heard the petitions on August 23, 2010, and reserved its judgment but the verdict was delayed as the parties had failed to exchange final written arguments. This happened on April 11, after which the bench fixed May 31 as the date for its announcement. The petitions pertain to the determination of wages for regular employees of newspaper establishments.
