Senate By-Elections: Revised schedule announced

The seat has been vacant since the resignation of Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan on April 1.

KARACHI:
The schedule of the Senate by-elections for the Sindh general seat has been revised by Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Justice (retd) Hamid Ali Mirza.

The seat has been vacant since the resignation of Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan on April 1.

According to a notification issued on Monday, candidates can file their nomination papers on April 14 and April 15.

The scrutiny will be held on April 16, the last date for filing appeals against the rejection of nomination papers is April 19 and the disposal of such appeals will be done by April 21.


Candidates can withdraw by April 22 and the final list will be published the same day.

Polling will be held on April 27 at the Sindh Assembly building.
