Ex-SECP head Hijazi granted bail by special FIA court
Is charged with alleged tampering with records of companies owned by Sharif family
ISLAMABAD:
Former Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) chairman Zafar Hijazi's bail plea has been given the green light by a special court of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the record tampering case on Tuesday.
The Special Court Central granted bail to Hijazi against two surety bonds of Rs0.5 million each, which had reserved judgement on his post-arrest bail application on August 2.
The accused was taken into custody by the FIA on July 21 after the court decided to dismiss his interim pre-arrest bail application.
