Lahore police to build training school

The institute would offer courses in specialisation in different policing tasks

LAHORE: Lahore police has purchased a land at a cost of Rs230 million to build a state-of-the-art police training school in Township.

The school will be spread over two kanals of land. Approximately, Rs392 million have been specified for the construction of the school building. Lahore police spokesperson, Hammad Raza, said, “It will be a unique school as it will focus on specialisation and provide training to on-job police officers/officials who would be engaged with international experts.”

Training of new recruits at Police Training College approved

The institute would offer courses in specialisation in different policing tasks such as operations, crime registration office, anti-vehicle lifting, organized crime, patrolling, police station management and investigations.

The institute would have a special school called the Investigations School of Excellence. There would be special focus on investigations because Punjab police has been facing serious issues in dealing with investigations.
