SAARC baseball event to start today
India pull out, Bangladesh doubtful for the tournament.

The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) baseball Cup kicks off in Lahore today with Pakistan facing Afghanistan in the first match.
The Pakistan Baseball Federation (PBF) had invited five countries to take part in the event but India and Bangladesh pulled out.
“India assured us of participation but due to unknown reasons, they pulled out,” said PBF President Shaukat Javed. “Bangladesh haven’t confirmed their participation.”
The PBF had formed the SAARC Baseball Federation with six other countries. Pakistan’s representatives were elected as its president and secretary.
