London has something for both your sweet tooth and savoury temptations

One of the most dynamic and vibrant cities in the world, London never fails to impress us with its expansive selection of entertainment, eclectic array of shops and historical landmarks to visit. As if all this was not enough, London is also the ultimate hub for incredibly scrumptious food. From brunch hotspots (think NAC, Chiltern Firehouse and The Ivy Chelsea Garden) to delectable dinners (it honestly doesn’t get better than Sal e Pepe), London has something for both your sweet tooth and savoury temptations. With so much to offer, London is this year’s ‘must-visit’ destination for foodies. Browse through our list of favourite eating spots in London to tantalise your taste buds and satisfy your food cravings — from day to night.

Breakfast - Berners Tavern

If you’re looking for a classic yet eclectic setting to start off your day, then London Edition Hotel’s Berners Tavern is the place for you. High-rise ceilings accompanied with walls decorated in artistic frames, the restaurant has an incredible aesthetic (and also makes for a great location for all those Instagram photos). The breakfast menu gives foodies all sorts of egg options, as well as waffles and pancakes, to start your day off on the right note. Delectable coffee and wonderful tea ensures that your meal is complete. Accompanied by outstanding hospitality and incredible service, we can’t seem to get enough of this food haven.

Brunch - NAC

Fun, contemporary and chilled out, there’s nothing we don’t love about NAC. Located right off of the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, this modern cafe is undoubtedly our favourite brunch spot on the weekends. With a chilled out and relaxed ambiance, NAC also has an all-encompassing menu. From soft ricotta pancakes (definitely a favourite) drizzled in sweet dulce de leche sauce to the classic avocado on toast, NAC has an array of classic brunch dishes, all with a signature twist. Whilst you’re munching on your main dish, don’t forget to try the coconut iced coffee (a NAC classic) and indulge in some crispy fries.

Lunch - Roti Chai

When we’re away from home, we sometimes miss the spicy and savoury food which is a desi classic. When those temptations occur, there’s no place better than Roti Chai for indulging in some amazing papri chaat, bhel puri or gol guppas. Offering the complete line-up of the ‘must-eat’ street food, Roti Chai’s snack-size plates enable you to try out as many dishes as you’d like.  We definitely recommend trying out the hakka chilli paneer (Absolutely delicious!), as well as the assortments of roti (the aloo paratha is perfectly fluffy, melting away into one’s mouth). No meal at Roti Chai is complete without the house chai; a perfect blend of spices.

Dinner - Sal e Pepe

If there’s one type of food we can never get enough of, it’s pasta. Spaghetti, penne or ravioli, we love every kind of pasta in each and every kind of sauce (We’re honestly obsessed!). Thus, we’re always on the lookout for the ultimate Italian restaurant, and we found just that with Knightsbridge based Sal e Pepe. The traditional Italian style restaurant has an amazing menu, including the best of pasta dishes you could find in London. Even the most simple of dishes like penne Arrabbiata have been given a new twist, ensuring your taste buds will be tantalised.

Tea and Desserts - Bulgari

After you’ve completed your dinner at Sal e Pepe, pop around the corner to the exclusive Bulgari hotel. With a minimalistic, modern interior and glamorous vibe, the Bulgari lobby has some incredible desserts and a large range of handcrafted teas, which are the perfect way to end your day.
