UCP students visit army units, formations at Lahore Garrison
Programme organised to enlighten students on army's functioning, organisation and defence capability: ISPR
Students and faculty members from the University of Central Punjab spent a day out visiting various military units and formations of Pakistan Army at Lahore Garrison on Thursday.
The programme, specifically organised to enlighten students on the routine functioning of army, its organisation and defence capability, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The day-long programme started with wreath laying ceremony at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to army martyrs.

The students visited a field formation and had an informal interaction with officers and soldiers, the statement read.
Later, they also witnessed arms and equipment display including small arms fire at the firing ranges, it added.
The programme culminated with flag-lowering ceremony at Wahga border. The students applauded the state of morale, commitment and professional competence of army and expressed their gratitude for being provided a life time experience and opportunity.
