Beautifying capital: CDA, IESCO to form joint team to identify hazard spots
The role played by the Capital Development Authority in making the city greener and cleaner is commendable
ISLAMABAD:
Mayor and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Anser Aziz has urged all concerned departments to play their role in beautifying Islamabad.
“A concerted effort by all government authorities will ensure beautification and cleanliness in the capital,” Anser said while chairing a follow-up meeting on the initiatives taken in this regard.
The role played by the Capital Development Authority and Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) in making the city greener and cleaner is commendable, he added.
Noting shortcomings at different locations in Islamabad, Aziz said that they will be rectified through mutual coordination and consultation.
In this regard, the meeting decided that a team comprising one member each from the CDA and the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) will be formed which will conduct a joint survey across the city and identify deficiencies on part of IESCO and rectify them.
Moreover, the meeting decided to request the Information Ministry Secretary for disseminating public service messages through print and electronic media. Further, the CDA Public Relations director was told to prepare an awareness campaign, forward it to ministry’s secretary.
