The Kal Ho Naa Ho singer received a lot of flak for branding the call of prayer 'forced religiousness.'
Sonu Nigam’s rant about being forced to wake up to Azaan angers fans
Now, another Bollywood singer, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, who is also ex-wife of famed director Shekhar Kapur, gave her opinion on the Azaan - and ultimately faced the same fate as Sonu.
The Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa actor took to Twitter to express her anger on 'imposed religiosity.'
She wrote, "Came home at 4.45 am 2 most aggressive/ear shattering call of azaan. Nothing more lowlife & dumb than such extreme imposed religiousity."

After Suchitra's rant, Twitterati went on to criticise the singer-cum-actor for her thoughts.

Farah Ali Khan, sister of Suzzanne and Zayed Khan called out the singer for having some dignity in her tweet.
Sonu Nigam shaves his head following Azaan controversy
She wrote, "My dear,I normally would not comment but your description of the Azaan that annoys u speaks lowly of you. You could have had more dignity in your comment."

It was after Farah's tweet, that Suchitra realised that she might have been a bit too harsh with her words.

Previously, Sonu's Azaan row situation spiraled out of control and a Muslim cleric reportedly announced a reward of INR1 million for whoever shaves the singer’ head, Sonu responded on Twitter by saying that he will do so himself.
No need to fuel this anymore: Sonu Nigam on azaan row
He later on quit Twitter after shaving his head.
However, we have a more pressing question: is this the end of another Azaan controversy after subsequently generating quite a buzz on social media. Sadly, we think not.
