Actor Taapsee Pannu has replaced Katrina Kaif as the brand ambassador of a leading household appliance range, news18.com reported.

The company said as Katrina had been the face of their brand for quite a long time, they decided to rope in a younger actor.

Taapsee had earlier replaced Kangana Ranaut as the face of a top hair care brand.

Taapsee has become one of the most sought-after faces of Bollywood. After the success of Pink, the actress has signed back-to-back movies and endorsement deals.

She earned fame as one of the strong female protagonists in Pink and continued to retain her image even in Naam Shabana. But now, diversifying into comedy with Judwaa 2, Taapsee Pannu seems to be quite busy with her film commitments, according to Bollywood Hungama. However, it is also an undeniable fact that endorsements are an integral part of an actor’s life and Taapsee obviously doesn’t want to be left behind in the scene.

Taapsee's Judwaa 2, co-starring Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandes, is a remake of Salman Khan-starrer 1997 hit film Judwaa, and will open in theatres on September 29.

Earlier in an interview, Taapsee, who hails from a non-film background, shared there is no dearth of work for an outsider in Indian cinema but the only problem was that one did not get a second chance.

The star feels actors are offered multiple projects, every now and then but how many of them are worth picking up and actually get made is what matters in shaping their careers.

“The only problem is you will not get a second chance if you go wrong. You have to keep proving yourself again and again,” IANS quoted Taapsee as saying. “When your first film releases, the kind of offers that you get will be quite a lot because the industry is so big but how many worthy ones you pick up are what shape your career.”

lawstudent | 7 years ago | Reply good thing india is finally bringing into spotlight what the majority of their population actually looks like (with the exception of her light skin) Taapsee Pannu looks more similar to the typical indian girl next door. It's time Bollywood and the indian population accept this and stop the white washing! I mean really, have you seen even one indian who looks like Katrina Kaif?
